Monday
Another lie in for me back of 11 before I got out of bed.
We set off in the direction Of Huntly to visit the castle there.
Not Castle Huntly which Elaine was in stiches in cause I didn't know it wasn't a touristy castle but an open prison. Well how was I to know.
Anyway E says I'm not very spontanious so as we headed up the road I spotted a sign for the castle trail near Inverurie.
And off we went.
Got to Fraser Castle nice place, really nice garden although it seems to have been fairly recently replanted still got 1 or 2 shots.
Then into the castle itself now this was the problem, cash.
It's ok to be spontanious, BUT, not when you have no cash on you.
So we went for a spot of lunch to decide what we should do.
I had a lovely bowl of Home made Potato and Leek soup, produce from the walled garden and Elaine had the eggy thing that begins with a Q.
Sorry couldn't spell it lol.
We decided that it would be an advantage to join the National Trust for Scotland.
Well worth it really £45 for a family for a year and you pay by direct debit.
The castle wasn't really my cup of tea this time, nice yes but a little too lived in.
Fyvie castle was better I would have to say and Slain's my type of place.
The grounds, I do have to say, do look spectacular from the top of the tower.

So was the eggy thingy a quiche then, Davey?
Thats the thingy!
Yep, well if you will be on the go at the crack of dawn, what do you expect?
And you had the nerve to ask someone who works for Criminal Justice if she was sure about that ;-)))
Hmmm spontaneous..... you only do that if its well planned, dont you?
You should re-read this bit - we had no money and then we went for lunch.... kinda of implies that we didnt have money to pay for lunch - huh ??
The very one :-P Think it did me more good than your soup :-P
Didn't YOU pay for lunch like ?
OMG OMG - wont be showing our faces there again !!!!!
