My Weekend Away Pt1

Yes I had a fantastic time.
Left Perth straight after work and Headed up the road to Aberdeen to be met by a lovely hot bath and a chinese mmmmm.
Pretty lazy evening that mind you as we all know Elaine can chat for Scotland so it was the wee small hours before bed time.
Next morning someone let me lie till 12pm. Bad Elaine, almost the day wasted, or so I thought.
But no how wrong could I be?
We got ready and set off up the coast a little towards peterburgh to Slain's castle.
WOW with a capital WOW what an amazing place.
I thought Dunnotter was nice but sorry Elaine Slain's wins for me.
Pictures to follow.
A nice picnic on the grass in the sunshine yummy.
Then down to the castle itself.
The castle is in ruin but is a fantastic building set right on a cliff face.
Almost gave Elaine heart failure a few times by getting a little too close.
But it was sometimes the only way to get some of the stunning pics.
We sat on the grass an watched a little fishing boat roll on the North Sea quite close to the rocks at the base of the cliffs and then went exploring.

Grrrrr replied, but it didnt post for some reason - so if two appear, forgive me lol

Hmmmmm - who had the £10 in CREDIT phone bill dear - :-P

You were at Cruden Bay beside PETERHEAD dear lol and I think you should reserve your judgement till you have been inside Dunnotter!

What do you mean "almost" ROFL - I had a huge hissy fit when I saw the pics after you left and given your track record (you should invest in some good walking boots me thinks - not flimsy plimsoles hahah), surprised there are no broken bones, too damn close for comfort lol

The salmon was a nice touch to YOUR picnic, can't wait to see what you do with the portable BBQ :-o

Twas an amazing place for sure, I'll go back soon - shame about the grafitti though
