Confused about Hd /Blueray

It Looks Like the Format war is over between Blueray and HD.
Warner Bros Have announced this week that from May all their Hd Movies will be released on Blueray Discs.
Finally a win for Sony shows that when you share technology it sells better.
In the early days of hd discs Philips acknowledged that Blueray was the better technology However at twice the cost it would have looked more likely to fail.
Sony not normally renound for sharing their technology have many things fail over the years the most famous being Betamax video, a better product than vhs but not shared technology like vhs.
So it's all steam ahead if you have a hd ready tv Blueray is the way forward best option is to buy a Playstation 3 at £50 more expensive than a standard player but with the benefit of being able to play games store music on the harddrive and full 1080p movie playback.
Dont worry if you have already got Hd dvds that are not blueray as most blueray player will play most hd discs too plus standard def discs.
Bring on the blue ray recorders.

Its far from over, but if it declared dead then can they please drop the blue ray name and adopt HD DVD. everyone knows DVD and HD and HD DVD is the high def version of dvd, punters must wonder what blue ray is, or adopt the moniker HDBDDVD :-)
