Online Albums
Ok so everyone is on the band wagon but I want to know did you and for how much.
I am of course talking about Radiohead's "In Rainbows" album being downloaded only from the web on initial release.
Personally I didn't but I admit I love the idea.
Pay what you think its worth.
Having lost interest in Radiohead when "ok computer" did nothing for me after "The Bends"
I have borrowed a few albums recently to check out what newer stuff sounds like to see if I could get back into them.
Watched a tv programme last month the 100 greatest albums of all time and "ok computer" came top.
Hard to believe when "The Bends" is a far better album but there are many more albums that have blown me away unlike "ok computer".
Now Cliff Richards has also released his latest album this way thank god that this way hasn't managed a way to hit the charts...... yet, but give it time.
Anyway, good luck to em it's time to show the recording industries who is boss and who keeps them in business.
Power to the Artists Power to the People!!!!!

Lemon Tree Closes
A sad day in Aberdeen as one of the favourite gig spots has been forced to close.
Run as a charity the Lemon Tree has been closed with a mass of debts.
Read here to find out more.
Thing is, it could in theory be saved if every adult in Aberdeenshire was to give just £1 to the charity they would be able to open again but they would really need to get a new management team to help bring the place back into the black and save at least 50 jobs.

Promises
Ok I must make a promise to you, I promise to make at least one post a week to keep you all up to date and I will post some amusing bits and pieces too.
Won't have much time over the next few weeks to take many pictures but I put some pics that I have taken in the last few months.
Time Away
I know, I Know, I have been neglecting you and for that I appologise.
There has been lots happening with gigs work illness more and more work.
Managed to get to see Magnum in the Inverness Ironworks and it was a fantastic night as usual. The new set featured the full Wings Of Heaven album probably my favourite Magnum album.
Also got to see Thin Lizzy in Aberdeen Music Hall. Although Phil Lynnott (R.i.p) was missing the rest of the band put on a fantastic show with all my favourite songs.
Down points of the Thin Lizzy gig were that Tommy Aldridges Drum solo is still the same one thats on the Ozzy Osbourne "Tribute" album with he would do something a little different still it gives me exactally 5 mins to go to the bar for a pint. To Elaines amusement as I strolled back beside her to the opening chords of the next song.
Let me explain..... A few years ago I had a little bet with Andy Gallagher that during Tommy's drum solo I could go down to the bar get a drink and be back in my seat for the opening chords of the next song.
Tommy was at that time playing in Whitesnake and we were at The Monsters of Rock tour in the Glasgow SECC.
I wandered down the steps, we were sitting in the top rows at the back of the SECC, then I wandered round the corner to the bar ordered 4 pints 2 for me and one for Andy and his friend who was there too.
I downed one of the Beers then wandered up the the stairs again and sat down to the opening chords of "Fool For Your Loving"
Having told Elaine this on the bus on the way to see Thin lizzy it amused her as I walked back in from the bar to the opening chords to Emerald.
