Magnum Video Clip

There is a new video clip on the Magnum website.
With the boys back in the studio.

Out Before 9

Got myself up today motivated and out before 9 for a short little cycle.
5.03 miles today.
Top speed 21.7 mph with the fastest average this year of 12.6 mph.
Now need to try maintaining that pace each time I go out on that route.
24 mins exactly for this run today with no stops.
It's a really nice day out there a little windy but it was nice to see that sun glimmer off the loch.

Such A Good Day

I'd Have to say I have had a good day.
Having had someone fuck me off something rotten the other day I have decided I am taking no more shit off people and fighting back.
Someone at work has pissed me off so much thinking he is the best salesman in the place has got me so worked up I am pissed right off.
He only thinks he good time to show how good I am I guess.
I haven't been at my best in 2 years how things have changed.

What A Way To Be Dumped

Got This clip pretty funny even though is never nice being dumped.

Congratulations

Congratulations to Womble who has just been published in the Back Steet Heros Magazine (BSH)
Page 36
Having interviewed her, by text, I can dispel any rumors that she appears semi clad like a biking goddess on the magazine.
However I'm hoping she might introduce me to the girl on the front page LOL.

Insurance

Well folks I have been amazed today.
With Stewart's funeral it got me thinking I have not Insurance in place so if I die I have no cover.
No normally you would expect if you call an insurance broker you would expect him to push for a sale, I know being in sales I have been there especially when people are asking for it.
However the very nice Matt at Lifesearch.co.uk advised me not to get this kind of cover at this moment in time as I would not need it.
Having discussed the options with him he said he would send out the quotes but it would be better just to put away some cash in an Isa for that kind of thing.
This is the kind of customer service I like and now I can say I would recommend these people again and would use them in future if I need any future advice.

Rab's Move

Well that's the first of the move done.
He has signed the lease and we went and sorted out the electric meter (god he's a heavy little skinny bugger ).
The meter being in the hallway above the door and no ladder in there I had to give him a footsie up.
Tonight we take some more stuff up and I think mum is coming with us for a nosey.
Then we have a Bed Sofa to move and a washing machine to lift.
The other problem is it's up 3 flights of bloody stairs.
WellI guess like Kyle's flat I probably won't visit much to many stairs LOL.

D-day

Well it's D-day for Bob as he finally signs the lease on his new flat today at 11:00am.
Third time he's left home so I think the folks might be thinking third time lucky LOL.
I will be giving him a hand to move today of course, well hey im getting a bigger room and my play room he so out he goes.

And now I'm being asked to change it.
Thats not why I moved back to my parents lol.

I see Vodaphone are getting in on the Milk style Ads

Phone Bill

Well not sure if im in shock or amused got my phone bill today.
The Grand Sum Of £299.88
Needless to say I have changed my tariff.

Anne has been out today learning to fly a glider how did it go hun?
Hope you had a good time?
Thanks Ian for the Images.

Stewart's Funeral

Hard going today but I said good bye in my own way to a good friend.
I'm sorry that a good load of people couldn't have been there cause of other commitments but it was good to see Rodger, Karen, Karen,Kerry, Lyndsay, Lyndsay, Aileen, Nick, Fiona, Grant Craig, Craig, Dave (Stewart's Brother), Laura, and Judith.
I spoke to my best friend Mark the other night who I haven't spoken to in a few years to let him know what was happening.
Was good to hear his voice even though we didn't get a chance to really speak.
Nick Gave a wonderful eulogy to Stewart and it reminded me of a few good times with Stewart.
As you sister said too " see you soon Stewart"
Life is too short I realized today.
I need to live life to the full the way Stewart did get out and see the world I realize that life is passing me by and I'm not fulfilling my dreams.

Happy Birthday

Happy Birthday

I'm not gonna say what age she is lets just say 21 again.

Thought For Today

Was driving to work this morning and as I drove down the big hill towards the Bridge of Earn I could see all the green fields around me.
But right in the middle there was a single field of rape seed.
Now this made me smile cause it reminded me a little of Stewart always one to stand out in a crowd and never care what people thought of his lifestyle.

Hard Rock Halleluja

Halleluja indeed.

That's one in the eye for pop music.

Dedication To A Friend

Was given some awful news today a friend Stewart Haxton from school passed away from a brain tumour this week. He was 33.
My deepest sympathy goes out to his family at this time.
Stewart was a guy with a full lust for life, fun to be in the company of and one of the few people I know who was true to himself and his friends.
I know that he will be truly missed.

Altered state of BLog

So you like the new name.
You will never ever guess how I got it.
Ok well Rab came up with it and I like it.
Lets have a competition to see if anyone can find out how he came up with the idea.
Leave your feedback and have your say.

Moving On

No not me Rab!
He has got himself a flat in Perth.
So he signs the lease on Friday and out just after that.
Just Me Mum and Dad left hopefully I can now get a bigger room.

A quick 5 miles today slept in so didn't want to be late for work.
24.8mph top speed 11.6 average and out for 25.13 mins.
Took a different path today by the loch and the beach a nice little trip.
It's so peaceful there but the flies are a little problematic. Yuck.

Gas Powered Motor Bike

Due to the high increases in fuel in the UK and with prices due to inflate to over the coming months many people have been redesigning their cars and bikes to use cheaper fuels.
I myself have used Bio desiel in the past.
Now Bmw have come up with a conversion kit to run motor bikes on gas.

Mp3 Player

I have to say I'm a little annoyed at my mp3 player so its coming up for sorting time again.
"Why?" I hear you ask.
Well it's like this over the last 2 days in the van I have had the little blighter running non stop.
Now you would think that being may favourite bands and also being the biggest content on the drive I might a least get a few Magnum, Live or Bob Catley tunes to lighten my day.
1 bloody Bob Catley song.
From a choice of more than 600 songs by these 3 artists I get one song.
Time for a rethink on my track list.

Altered state of BLog

I just completed a few alterations to the blog might do a few more over the next few days.
Thanks To "Tesla" for the phrasing on the intro....
Taken from the title of a song by the same name from mechanical resonance.

Acid Rain

As I said in my last post, weather was a little strange today some times it was Glorious sunshine and next the heavens opened .
But dad and I discussed acid rain on the way up quite amazing really.
With loads of dead things on the windscreen I decided to wipe the windows and see if I could remove that annoying bug from the centre of my vision.
unfortunately not it bloody just made a nice big streak right along the screen making it more difficult to see.
Now we passed through a little shower and I started wiping the windows now tell me why water with wiper fluid can't remove dead bugs however 2 mins worth of rain can clear the whole dam windscreen.
It may not be a good idea this spring to leave your clothes out on the line if there is the mere threat of rain

Long Drive North

Gave me dad a hand today to drive up to Fraserburgh to collect stock.
Passed though Aberdeen and passed the beach nice beach but its got big posty type things all along it so walking seems a little difficult when the tides in lol.
Was a kind of strange day for the weather but thats my next post.

Any way Happy 21st Chris and eh Happy eh Birthday Rikki lol.

Missed Days ..... Monday

Omg how long did I spend on the phone last night.
From 9pm till about half 1.
Phone bill could be a little steep next month. Hehe.
Must convince Elaine thats she needs a Mic for her bloody Pc msn being free is soooooo much cheaper than O2.

Missed Days......Sunday

Yes I finally missed a day or to so whats been happening.
Well went to the company staff night out in Hamilton.
Ended up having a really good night althought I sat for a while in the corner away from everyone drinking my coke and thinking " What the fuck am I doing this is a party".
So yes I got a beer or two or ten can't really remember.
But it was all free and yummy and no ill effects.
Thanks to Tina for the arranging the night.
Stayed at Kyles flat in Perth that night comfy sofa.
Was also good to have a chat late into the night with him cleared my head a little.

Ain't So Tuff......

Well the decision really has been made for me as to weather to drink or not tomorrow night.
I have had a bad day today and I feel my head isn't clear enough to make the move towards drinking again.
I would like to put a shout to my motivation and shoulder to cry on, Elaine.
Thanks for being there when I needed a shoulder to cry on.

Car Update

My poor Saxo still off the road 9 weeks today.
Got a call from my cousin today telling me that the git who crashed into my car has contested the claim which means going to court for the money if not settled in 14 days.

Tuff Call.....

Ok having mentioned drink in my last posting more about drink.
On Sunday I will have been off booze for exactly 4 weeks.
Now the tuff call comes by the fact that on Sunday night there is a staff night out for all Curry's staff in our region. FREE Booze.
Hmmmmm so what do I do?

What's The World Coming To....

Top story in the Scottish Sun today was the 12 year old teenager who was going to be the youngest mum in the U.k.
Got pregnant at 11 after her first time with a boy of 15.
She was drunk at a party and has been drinking since she was 10.
Not only that but she smokes 20 roll up cigarettes per day even while pregnant.
I have to say this has made me so angry today.
The fucking laxed attitude of her and her mother who is "ever so proud " of her daughter.
It's a fucking disgrace that this has been allowed to go as far as it has.
I'm not normally for abortion but to be honest I think that there should be laws put in place where under the age of consent pregnancies should be aborted or the child when born should be put into care. Oh and I don't believe in putting kids into care either there are too many children in this world who suffer because they are un wanted and unloved, yet people who want to adopt and help these children are hindered by bureaucracy.
I know this is a pretty radical view but this "Mother To Be" is only a child herself how can she possibly look after a child she has no responsibility for her own fucking life yet.
Drinking, Smoking now I know I can't be a moralist about drinking and smoking I have done both in the past, however, I never crossed that line in primary school!
As for the Mother of this child is she off her fucking head allowing her daughter to have the baby.
She's the one who will have to look after it when her oldest daughter is at school and what about her other 5 children youngest an uncle and not even one yet.
And who is going to pay for the upkeep of the child.
The girl can't even legally work.
So I guess its down to the taxpayer again.
Good news or maybe not is that the boy has now been arrested on rape charges I say maybe not cause now that costs the taxpayers even more.

Cool Little Game

Click here for a cool little game I have been sent the link too.

Out Before Work

Out this morning but not any of my normal runs today.
Had some stuff to do in town so I did them and then just cycled round the houses.
Did 5.16 miles today.
Only top speed of 18mph and average of 11.5mph so pretty slow today.
I think cause its colder today and being the 4th day in a row out it maybe took its toll today however I didn't really feel to motivated today.
Lets just say my motivation is getting the sack ;0P
All round trip took 27.02 mins today.

Old Memories Found..

Was looking through some stuff seeing if I have any printer paper kicking about when I came across a few good memories.
Flyers from the days of the Bev's.
Our First Gig and we had stovies at half time.
Which seemed to becoming a running joke after a few gigs as that seemed to happen a lot.
Any way hope you like em brings back a lot of good memories.
As for the band name don't ask.

It would appear I'm burnt by the sun.

Ever Wonder Where We Are Headed....

Why the sun lightens our hair,
but darkens our skin?

Why women can't put on mascara
with their mouth closed?

Why you don't ever see the headline:
"Psychic Wins Lottery"?

Why "abbreviated" is such a long word?

Why Doctors call what they do "practice"?

Why you have to click on "Start"
to stop Windows 98?

Why lemon juice is made with artificial flavour, while dishwashing liquid
is made with real lemons?

Why the man who invests all your money is called a "Broker"?

Why there isn't mouse flavoured cat food?

Who tastes dog food when it has a
"new & improved" flavour?

Why Noah didn't swat those two mosquitoes?

Why they sterilize the needle for lethal injections?

Why they don't make the whole plane out of the material used for the
indestructible black box?

Why sheep don't shrink when it rains?

Why they are called apartments when
they are all stuck together?

If con is the opposite of pro,
is Congress the opposite of progress?

Why they call the airport "the terminal"
if flying is so safe?

AND...

In case you need further proof that the human race is doomed because of
stupidity, here are some actual label instructions on consumer goods.

On a Myer hairdryer:
"Do not use while sleeping".
(Darn, and that's the only time I have to work on my hair).

On a bag of Chips:
You could be a winner! No purchase necessary. Details inside.
(The shoplifter special?)

On a bar of Palmolive soap:
"Directions: Use like regular soap".
(And that would be how???)

On some frozen dinners:
"Serving suggestion: Defrost".
(But, it's just a suggestion).

On Nanna's Tiramisu dessert
(printed on bottom):
"Do not turn upside down".
(Well...duh, a bit late, huh)!

On Marks & Spencer Bread Pudding:
"Product will be hot after heating".
(And you thought????...)

On packaging for a K-Mart iron:
"Do not iron clothes on body".
(But wouldn't this save me more time?)

On Boot's Children Cough Medicine:
"Do not drive a car or operate machinery after taking this medication".
(We could do a lot to reduce the rate of construction accidents if we
could just get those 5 year olds with head colds off those forklifts.)

On Nytol Sleep Aid:
"Warning: May cause drowsiness".
(And...I'm taking this because???)

On most brands of Christmas lights:
"For indoor or outdoor use only".
(As opposed to...what?)

On a Japanese food processor:
"Not to be used for the other use".
(Now, somebody out there, help me on this. I'm a bit curious.)

On Nobby's peanuts:
"Warning: contains nuts".
(Talk about a news flash!)

On an American Airlines packet of nuts:
"Instructions: Open packet, eat nuts".
(Step 3: maybe, uh...fly Delta?)

I don't blame the company, I blame the parents for this one:
On a child's superman costume:
"Wearing of this garment does not enable you to fly".

On a Swedish chainsaw:
"Do not attempt to stop chain with your hands or genitals".
(Was there a lot of this happening somewhere?)

Now that you've smiled at least once, it's your turn to spread the
stupidity and send this to someone you want to bring a smile to (maybe
even a chuckle)...in other words send it to everyone. We all need to
smile every once in a while.

Bored Bored Bored.

God it is so boring at work just now.
It's been so quiet through the week I'm starting to get annoyed.
I'm bored I did the re-merchandising of the TV department last week and now I don't have that to work on now and with the lack of paying customers it's doing me head in.
ARRRRRRGGGGGHHHH,
Bored, bored, bored, bored, bored.

Out Before Work

Managed to motivate myself to get up and go out this morning before work for a cycle.
5.5 miles my normal short route.
Top speed 24.8mph, average speed 12.9mph so a good steady and fast pace today.
Total trip was 25 mins exactly.
Was a real nice day too bright and sunny.
Didn't take the mp3 or camera today.
There is only so many times you can take pics round the same route LOL.
Although I can think of a few more nice pics I can take.
Must put up a picture of my trusty steed.

Terminator 4

You gotta watch this spoof of The Terminator.
Bloody funny.
Thanks Womble for the link.

A Mans Work Is Never Done

Another job done more ironing only took 15 mins.
I really don't know what mum complains about, really I don't.
I even made me bed to day.
Off to do the vacuuming now.

Trip Round The Loch

As you can see I even managed a little walk along the beach very peacefull there alothough the state of the beach was less than desireable.
How does a used sanitry towel end up on the beach on a lochside.
And YES it was used. Ewwwww.
Thanks for the suggestion Elaine maybe a seaside walk would be better next time.

Been out for my cycle this morning did round the loch today.
The Sun is out the birds are singing and the scenery is so beautiful.
20.1Miles today max speed of 26.2mph with a slow average today of 10.9mph.
Gotta say that tihs is a very tasking trip lots of hilly climbs but there never really seemed to be and good down hill runs.
Took over 2 hours today for the trip however I did stop a Vane Farm Nature Reserve for about 10 mins to sit in the sun and grab a can of juice and a Twix.

The Sharpened Grenade

Interesting little video here about the art of Kabumei.
It's a little graphic so if you are squeamish take care.
Thanks to Spike for this one.

Took some turns on to roads I have never been down before nice roads in the country,
Spring is most definitely here. Lots of bright colours beautiful scenery and new born lambs and calves in the fields.
Reached my top speed ever today too a whacking great 30.1 mph.
Average speed was only 11.3mph today but the last 3 miles were all up hill (note to self do this route backwards next time).
A total trip time of 1 hour 19 mins.

Breasts

Ok this is the only time this bint will appear on my site cause she is so fake and she makes me vomit but she kinda fits into the topic.
I ha a thought, Why do women have breast ops to enlarge their breasts?
Most women who do it seem to have ample breasts anyway.
I have had a better idea.
Don't get em enlarged get an extra one added.
Right between the other ones.
Depression rates in men would go down 10 fold.
1 for each hand and one to suck on.
To the doctors who do these ops.
Please suggest this to future clients.
To wonder bra I am off to the patent office in the morning.

There Is A Light At The End Of The Tunnel.

I woke this morning I such a great mood.
It felt Fantastic I really felt like my old self again.
Out on the bike I pushed myself and achieved something worth while.
Let the sun beat down on me warming up my life.
When I got back I cleaned my self up cut my hair (Which I haven't done in a month or so).
Shaven properly trimmed the beard.
Looked good felt good.
Although at that point the leg were still like jelly after the ride LOL.
As I drive to work glasses on I could see the whole world in all its splendour and it looked amazing all the colours and flowers and life buzzing about it's business.
Found My FLOW.

Reclaiming Bank Charges

Got a call from Bank of Scotland Customer services today.
The Girl very nicely offered me a tidy sum of £156 as a refund for my charges.
Explaining what I had read and that I would not accept that offer, she then offered me the tidier sum of £586.
All the things I have read on this says I am entitled to the full amount.
I have told her that I will now be taking this to the small claaims court to claim the full amount.

Out Before Work

Managed to get out on the bike before work today.
Good run too 9.06 miles just about a mile short of my regular full run.
45.52 mins for the full ride.
23.4 mph fastest yet for this year.
Average was 11.9 mph although up till the last 2 miles average was 12.1 mhp.
Was a really nice morning bright sunny and a light breeze which always seemed to be blowing against me LOL.

Warning

Be careful shopping at Asda can seriously alter your bank balance.
I went in for some shampoo today and £30 later came out with clothes shoes.
Dam George is cheap.
Doesnt matter if it lasts.
@ £2 for a casual shirt it was cheaper than the Classic Rock Mag I bought.

Happy Star Wars Day

Goo V's Live

No contest for tomorrows cd car choice.
Bump them both on mp3 player and random play I cant decide.
After 2 plays on both albums tonight I can't decide which is the best.
The Live album I have to admit gets better on every listen.
Which is a good sign.
Hopefully the Goo Goo Dolls will be the same
Just pissed off that I am only getting to see one of them on tour.
Bloody Goo's is a sellout show even after changing to a bigger venue.
Wonders if he knows anyone who would put him up for the night in Birmingham or London.

Let Love In

Ooops I got a problem tomorrow and tonight I suppose.
Got the new Goo Goo Dolls album "Let Love In" in the post today.
Now What do I do Cause I still just wanna listen to the new Live cd.
HHHHHmmmmmmmm
Ok 1 more listen and then Goo.
And yes I know the Goo's album ain't released till Monday.

Movie

Well if you like action packed movies I can recomend XXX 2
Just been watching it this morning.
Fast Paced action packed and loads of tanks.

So Tired

Its not fair you know I had problems sleeping at the start of this depression.
Waking at 3 or 4 in the morning and not sleeping for ages.
Can't say I am any better on these tablets.
Except now I don't feel tired enoughto go to bed till around 2 pm and then I naturally wake before the alarm.
But I haven't set my alarm for 2 days cause I'm off and was awake before 8 each day.
Still at least its consistant.
Just spend all day tired and yawning.
Think I hear my afternoon nap a calling :-)
