joke of the day

Why are Pirates called Pirates ?
Cause They Arrrrrgggggghhhhh.

top song of the day

Been listening to Marillion's Marbles album today.
Just wanted to share this video with you.
But this also got me thinking Fish or Hogarth.
Personally I feel it has to be Hogarth.

I also the Fish song was appropriate with me not being online for next few days.

Cast yer vote and I will see when I get back.

Sunday photos

Won't be putting any photo's up from today till a get home I want Elaine and Stewart to get first view of them.

interesting Sunday afternoon

Just had a great day out with Elaine and her son Stewart.
This is my first meeting with Stewart about time you may all be saying.
Elaine is down in Kirkcaldy visiting a friend for his birthday so she thought it was about time Stewart and I met.
He's a lovely young man quiet, shy but has a very competitive nature.
Was really nice to finally meet him although I admit I was nervous as hell and I know Elaine had her doubts about how we would get on.
As most of her friends have told her Stewart was fine with it.
I meet them in Dunfermline first for a few games of 10 pin bowling, which master Stewart won convincingly (although I still say that using the buffers is a little cheating ;-P)
After 4 games and a few games on the games machines it was off to Dalgety Bay for a lovely picnic put on by Elaine yummy. However my stomach is still a little dodgey from last nights drinking efforts.
Sat on the banks of the Forth river over looking the rail bridge and the beach wonderful view and a great place for pictures :-D
Then off to Kirkcaldy to drop them at thier B&B before I came home to pack for tomorrows trip to Northern Ireland.
Thanks Stewart and Elaine for a wonderful day and I'm looking forward to seeing you again very soon.
Rematch on the cards me thinks :-P

just cause I can

I Love these guys!

good night out

Went out with work last night now my head hurts!
We went for a meal at The Bothy restaraunt in Perth
Nice meal.
I had the Mussels in chilli sauce.
Sirloin steak.
And Creme Brulee
Followed by a shit load of booze.
We had a prize from a work incentive of £500 to spend.
Boy did we spend it I have never ever seen so much booze drunk so quickly.
After the meal we still had £200 to spend in an hour before the bar shut.
Once I got back to Rab's flat i decided to do a little redecorating of his hallway.
Fish and tomato with chilli and Jack Daniels texture.
Not the best decor yuck.
Never doing that again (till next time lol)

lazy

Have to admit I have been totally knackered lately so I have been really lazy and not been out for a cycle in a few days.
Lifting my ass out of bed has been the biggest problem lately and when getting home from work not being assed to go out either.
Really it's too warm.
Still I have managed to catch up with Deadwood on Sky1
Bloody brilliant have watched this from the very start it's cool.

holidays

Well folks that me on holiday again folks!
I'm off to Northern Ireland to my uncle Johns wedding.
The boats off early Tuesday and back late Sunday.
I have been asked to play guitar for the wedding doing an acoustic version of
"Stairway to Heaven."
Hmm yes I know your thinking but that's gotta be a funeral song hasn't it.
Well I would have thought so but it's not my funeral lol.

Hopefully tomorrow I can get my ass out of bed and get out and do the full circuit tomorrow.

Cool

one for the fellas

golf joke

A young woman had been taking golf lessons.
She had just started playing her first round of golf when she suffered a bee sting.
Her pain was so intense that she decided to return to the clubhouse for help and to complain.
Her golf pro saw her come into the clubhouse and asked, "Why are you back in so early ?"
"I was stung by a bee", she said.
"Where ?", he asked.
"Between the first and second hole", she replied.
He nodded knowingly and said, "Then your stance is too wide."

todays cycle

Had quite a lazy cycle today.
I did 10.5 miles but it took almost 3 hours to complete the circuit.
Ok so on the move I was 1 hour 2 mins but I spent soo long off the saddle taking pictures with the camera I ended up off more than on lol.
max speed 24 mph today and 10.1 mph moving average.
Stopped into Burleigh Castle got the keys to have a look round too.
really nice old ruin.
Very peaceful too.

warnings about cycling

1:Never cycle through the woods on a hot day with suntan oil on.
2:Never cycle through the woods in shorts or if you do watch out for the nettles.
I am bitten head to foot and stung all down my legs.
OUCH!

joke of the day

A little boy walks in to the lounge one Sunday morning while his Dad is reading the paper.
"Where does poo come from?" he asks.
The father feeling a little perturbed that his 5 year old son is already asking difficult questions thinks for a moment and says:"Well you know we just ate breakfast?
""Yes," answers the boy.
"Well the food goes into our tummies and our bodies take out all the good stuff,
and then whatever is left over comes out of our bums when we go to the loo, and that is poo.
"The little boy looks perplexed, and stares at him in stunned silence fora few seconds and asks:"And Tigger?"

new album

The New album "Open Minds" from Eden arrived through the door some time on Friday I think wasn't here to get it lol.
I gotta say Vince, Nick and the boys have done a fantastic job the album is excellent.
Well worth the wait (exactly 3 weeks btw from Amazon)
The artwork is superb.
Music is bloody rockin'.
Very different from anything I have heard Vince do before.
If you get a chance to go see them in September do so I have been told they are cool live too.
Buy this album NOW!

crathes castle

Pictures of Crathes Castle and gardens have been put on new images reflect.
Grab a look.
Hope you like em.

not sleeping again

It's 1:45am and I'm having trouble sleeping again which normally means a rough day ahead tomorrow. Thankfully I'm off the next few days.
My head is buzzing tormenting me again.
I fucking hate this feeling.
I even think I'm hearing things.
Thought I could hear a baby crying outside my window earlier.
Also thought I heard a snare drum fall on the ground, paniced a little thinking someone had been stealing my kit from the garage.
Impossible as my kit ain't in the garage.
How do I know this, went down and checked didn't I, so am I paranoid now too.
Haven't felt this shit in a few weeks.
I'm tired but I know when I lay down I feel wide awake and something else sets me thinking.
Why can't I just switch off.

it's been a while

Hey all yes I know it's been a few days since I blogged last been busy, been away.
Took the opertunity on Thursday to get away and go visit Elaine in Aberdeen.
Spent most of Friday my day off in bed and out for the count.
Once Elaine had finished her half days work and got home we grabbed a bite to eat then off to Crathes Castle.
Really nice unfortunately left it too late in the day to go, got round the castle no problem but the gardens were immense.
Only saw about half of it and didn't take that many pics as I forgot to take spare batteries, doh.
Still we will visit it one day soon I hope.

Time For A Change

I'm getting bored with the format this blog is taking, think its time for a change.
So oer the next few days I will be changing the format and tweeking and may open a few new pages to the blog too.
I know a few people who are getting bored with my posting photos all the time and want more of the fun stuff Dave finds on the web.
I hope the final results will be something to be proud of,as I have been since starting with "Making Sense of the Madness" and "New Light Reflect".

Hot To Hot....

"hot and wet, which is good if your with a lady but not in the jungle!"
Quote by Robin Williams in "Good Morning Vietnam.
But anyway it was hot today I went out at lunch, about 3ish and
sat in the car with the aircon on according to the temp guage it was 35 degrees.
Work was awful I had only been in 10 mins today and Gearge had to say to me to go dry off by a fan as my shirt was ringing yuck.
Need to find a way to cool off.

Morning Cycle

Good fast paced ride this morning.
No Thinking!
Thinking Bad !
Only thought the need for speed.
9.09 miles today max speed 27.1 mph
Average speed was a massive 14 mph so I'm on the way to hitting that magical 15 mark.
The ride took 38.56 mins.
Now I need a cool shower then I'm off to work :-(

Blowing Out Some Cobwebs

Went out for a fast paced cycle last night needed to clear a few of the depression cobwebs from my brain. Thinking and cycling at fast pace is the best way to blow them out.
No kit with me last night just me the bike the gps.
So yes that does mean no pics lets have a break from that.
8.88 miles route last night I would have done more but the sun was going down faster than I thought it was last night.
25.3 mph max speed and an average of 13.3 mph good fast paced run.
Took a tota lof 40.06 mins to do the run.
It was soo warm last night too I felt totally drained after that when i got home I checked my temp guage and it said 27.5 degrees. Mind you I checked this morning when i got up and it says 28.5 degrees and its only just gone 9.
Right I'm off out again see if I can finish blowing out these cobwebs.
