Windows Vista

Well the biggest release of software this year Microsoft Vista was launched today.
For me I have to say very uninspiring.
We never sold a copy all day in our store maybe it will pick up tomorrow.
As for the software well I can't say I am that impressed.
Graphically there are a few differences mutli -coloured task bars and this new Aero way of flipping between screens, which does nothing for me.
Now the decision is weather to buy or not.
On the one hand it's not that impressive and although it looks like it runs quicker and more stable I want to see it work on a PC that has been used for a while.
On the other hand support for XP is likely only gonna be for a year or so now that vista is here so why not do it now.
I guess I will have to see what staff offers come up at work.

One For Everyone

Recycling

OK so what do you do with all those software Cd's.
You know the ones you get with limited licences eg. Internet security, antivirus etc.
Well it appears not a dam lot.
Been doing a little sorting of my stuff today to see what I could get rid of to make space to move.
Loads of papers and Mags and boxes dumped yes but what about Cd's.
I have about 20 old Cd's with used up licences or drivers for equipment I no longer have.
I have searched the net and even called Symantec to see what they suggested and app art from cup holders and coasters and CD clocks no one said please return them and we can wipe or reuse them.
Any one got any other ideas imagine the waste in every ones homes with Cd's galore.
There are companies who can restore Cd's if they are scratched.

On The Move

Well folks it's about time I announced that I'm moving up to Aberdeen Officially!
Elaine and I decided that we wanted to be together under one roof with Stewart.
I have been looking for a job (transfer within Curry's) and should be moving by the end of February all being well.
Poor Elaine!
Doesn't know what shes letting herself in for LOL.

First Snows

Well its snow yesterday and today we have about 3 inches of snow outside just now and as usual the road company was caught on the hop.
A little bit of snow and the whole country goes to a standstill.
Dad sat in traffic from 9am till 11:30am only 5 miles down the road due to a jackknifed lorry at Kelty.
Traffic is still backed up to Kinross at half past 2.
Glad I'm indoors today.

The Chavs - Chavhemian Rhapsody

Funny Spoof of Chavs doing Bohemian Rhapsody

No Surprise

Another not surprising fact of the week so far H from Steps is gay.
Well when I heard you could have knocked me over with a feather.
Needless to say my Mum still thinks he was just "highly intellectual" lol.

Restaurant Goes

Finally the Little " Thief" Chef has gone bust.
Possibly the most expensive slow serving restaurant about.
Was this any surprise to the public after all there never seemed to be anyone in them when ever I dove passed.
Still now watch the service go down in Burger King and McDonald's and their 500 employees jump ship an 1 mile per year.

More Sun

According to the Sun first-born children will live longer than their siblings.
Poor Rab!

Deaf Jeff

Found a little story in The Sun about Ex Status Quo drummer Jeff Rich.
It Seems poor Jeff after 16 years on the road with Quo has been loosing his hearing.
"He was left with Loud ringing in his ear that took hours to go away."
Eventually he went to a hearing specialist for testing and they found he was losing the abilty to hear certain sounds "including womens voices."
Bang Bang Bang Thump Thump Thump louder louder we men have finally found that cure we always wanted lol.

Hogmanay!

Well I have to say this was the soberest Hogmanay I have ever had 2 drinks the whole night.
Well I was driving !
Spent the night with Elaine, Stewart and our friends Lyndsay and Alan.
We went down to Stone Haven to watch the fireballs.
And Wow how cool see my pics.
It was a great fun night a little cold but its stayed dry and we were sheltered from the winds.

Faith In Folk

Over Xmas and New Year I had my faith in mankind restored thanks to the goodness of some people I didn't even know.
Firstly the woman in the car park in Aberdeen a few days before Xmas she stopped her car got out and gave me her ticket and her space as she was leaving she had paid for parking and let me have the final 2 hours she didn't need.
Secondly the same happened just before New Year in Perth a woman had paid for an hour and only needed 5 Min's so she gave me the rest I to only needed 5 Min's as I nipped to the chemist.
To these women I say thank you and I wish you both a very happy new year where ever you are.
As for Me Well I feel Like I did My bit too.
As I wandered up the road from the car park in Aberdeen that day I caught a glympse of a shiny new pound coin on the ground dropped in a puddle and not missed.
Feeling good cause I had been given 2 hours parking and found a pound I walked round the corner into Dr. Bernardo's shop and handed over the coin to the shop as a donation.
And if you know I love my music so I had a look and the cd's tapes and records while I was there.
Cha-Ching another £10 to Bernardo's.
Elaine and I did our little bit too while shopping for presents too at the British Heart Foundation shop.
All in all this proves there is hope for mankind out there.
HAPPY NEW YEAR
Be kind to those less fortunate than yourself.

Christmas

Had a wonderful Christmas this year spent a fortune spoiled my loved ones and they in turn spoiled me.
Got a new pouch for my camera my kit seems to be getting bigger and bigger.
Got the Magnificent 7 dvd box set cool as.
A new watch, clothes, wallet, sweets (mmmmm).
Drink drink and more drink. Which I have not drunk as yet although I did leave it at Elaine's.
HMMMM wonder if it will be there next time I'm up.
Many thanks every one for all my wonderful gifts.
And anyone who forgot me send cash now lol.

Have You Missed Me?

Hi All well a Happy New Year to you all it's been a while since I last posted, more than a month in fact. How time flies when your having fun, Haw haw.
Been busy at work and of course the usual rigmarole of Xmas.
Plus the traveling up and down to Aberdeen almost every week to be with Elaine :-) shucks.
I'm beginning to feel the busy time take it's toll and kill my energy levels I would have to admit.
Roll on the holidays.
Still back to normality from next week with 2 days off.
