Went out for a cycle today round Aberdeen.
Went round Seaton Park and then headed along to the beach and then over the broadhill by Pittodrie.
Ouch on the climb up the broad hill and on the way down, mind it probably didn't do the bike any good racing down the steps on the broadhill lol.

Let Down

Why do I feel Like I am about to be let down again by Play.com.
Well it's Thursday the 22nd and the new Magnum album is released on Monday but play haven't even taken my payment yet.
Last time I pre-ordered from them the album arrived over 2 weeks later than the release date.
I didn't mind at that time as it wasn't of any urgency but let me down on Magnum and it's hell to pay.
Any one else had this problem with play or any other site for that matter?
Seems like the best way to get albums these days on day of release is order it from your local store and wait outside on the release date like I did a few years ago with Brand New Morning hehe, numpty stood outside HMV in Princes Street,Edinburgh at 8:30am waiting to get me copy.

Stiff Little Fingers Live Perth 2007

Footy

Stewart scored again at footy this week with an amazingly good shot from a corner.
Big well done to the team as well for winning 6-4.
You really played like a team on Saturday.

Party

Went to a party for Ali's 21st the other night.
Ali being Elaine's nephew.
I certainly looked like he was having a good night.
The DJ played some great tunes some Rush, Journey and so on.
Music was good but his patter was shit.
Hope you had a great night Ali and the head wasn't too sore next day.
I also owe Heather (Elaine's niece) an appologie squashing a cream cake on her nose.
Just for fun you under stand.
The look on your face was priceless to say the least.
Did anyone get a photo of it...... send it ot me and I will put it up on the blog.

Sick

Poor Elaine!
She's been signed off again with this Viral ear infection.
A little concerning the Doctor says that some folk have been taking up to 6 weeks for this to clear their system.
Hope your better soon love, sorry I can't be there to help this time.

Joke of the Day

Why does Edward Woodward have so many d's in his name?
If he hadn't he would be
EWAR WOOWAR.
Many thanks to Sam for this one.

Clear out

I am having a big ebay clearout this week getting rid of some old stuff I don't need or use.
A good clear out before I move up to Aberdeen.
My user name is cooldrums1 if you wanna check any of it out loads of dvds so far like Wayne's World 1&2, Jaws and so on.
Happy Shopping

Gig

Went to see the Stiff Little Fingers the other night in The Ice Factory in Perth.
Was a good night and a great gig apart from the price of booze in the gaffe.
I bought a Double Jack Daniels and Coke and it cost £5.50 ouch.
The and themselves were good if not a little old now for punk.
Punk is not dead it's just got old and bald and I don't mean from Skin heads.
Slf did a great set and even managed a cover of Thin Lizzys "Boys are Back In Town"
Not sure I would go see them again tbh, but of course Elaine will kill me if I don't take her next time, like The Stranglers gig a few months back they are a band worth seeing at least once but I think if I was given the choice I would rather see the Stranglers than Slf again.
I will put up some Pics and a Vid from the gig in a wee whilee.

Back To The Grind

Back to the grind of everyday life again for a while anyway back home to mum and dads for a while.
Should have an interview soon for the job in Aberdeen, here is hoping all goes well and hopefully I will be living in Aberdeen before the end of March or at latest the middle of April.
But for now it's back to work in Perth.

Football Crazy

Well Saturday was footy day for us.
First an early morning game for Stewart on the pitches near where the flat is.
Bit of a dissappointing game.
I'm affraid our team lost 6-2, but the good news is Stewart put a cracker in the back of the net and also got awarded another green fair play card for his effort on the park.
Then it was the off to the big boys footy in the afternoon.
Aberdeen v's Hearts in an SPL clash fighting a place in Europe next year.
This sad as it might seem was my first ever, real footy match (Stewart says his matches are real ) but I mean at a stadium with big spl teams playing.
Aberdeen won 1-0 with a beauty of a goal early in the first half right in front of us.
Then Hearts had a man sent off in the second half for some very rough tackles a well deserved red card imho.
Think I may become a bit of an Aberdeen supporter shortly (ssssshhhhhhh don't tell Stewart).

Cycling

Well yesterday I went out for my first cycle of the year.
Stewart and I went for a short ride along the beach front.
Not normally the pace I would go but a good run to get back in the saddle again.
I took a ride out this morning too at my own pace took the camera out to Seaton Park in Aberdeen, got some fantastic shots, to be put up on the pics site shortly.
It would appear that spring is here already.
The crocuses are out in full bloom and birds you wouldn't normally see here this time of year are back.

Health

I forgot to say the other day but my meds have been reduced.
Good news having been on them for almost a year now.
Poor Elaine is still laid up with this infection though but seems to be getting better slowly.

Holidays/Illnesses

Do Holidays and illnesses come hand in hand?
Why? I hear you ask.
Well I am on holiday this week so I came up to Aberdeen for the week (still not moved but that's another story).
Now last time I was up I was ill with a chest infection which took almost 3 weeks to clear, I'm fine now.
But now that I have come up Elaine has gone down with a viral ear infection.
She has lost her sense of balance completely.
Doctor gave her a jab yesterday and some pills not sure they have worked at all yet but she is resting at the moment.
Get better soon dear.

Photo opps

I have to admit I love to walk along beaches and take pics of things I find on the beach weird and wonderful things you wonder how they got there and they give off cool effect in the sand either sprinkled in sand or getting covered with the wash of the sea all very arty lol.
I have even started to adjust and move things so I get some really cool and posed shots, one day I may get paid for some of this stuff.

St Andrews

On Friday I went and visited St Andrews castle.
Although this is a ruin and not much remains is is a nice peaceful place on the cliffs overlooking the North Sea.
Got some nice pics will post asap.
1 thing that spoiled the peace though was a load of yobs sitting down on the small beach just below the castle shouting racist remarks at an Asian tourist who was in the castle close by where I was standing taking pics.
Vermin honestly I was quite angry that this is how some people treat visitors to our country I was really tempted to call the police and have them done for disturbing the peace or whatever they could get done for.
This is not how we behave in Britain people!!!!!!

Mum's Birthday

Well I think mum had a really great birthday last weekend.
We had lots of surprises in store for her.
in the afternoon we had a few of mums friends round for a few drinks and we had a special cake made with her baby picture on it.
Later it was time to go to Leith in Edinburgh where mum was born to have a nice meal out.
The surprise was that dad had got her a stretched limo to take us there.
How cool is it driving around in a limo lol.
The Hotel Malmaison was a really nice place to eat down by Leith harbour.
The Pheasant with bubble and squeak I can really recommend.
All in all a great day.
