Thoughts!

Been thinking over tonight about a lot of things, loves, loss, family and friends.
Recently someone I know has lost something special which I couldn't put into words.
It came to me tonight that the words I need are in a song by Magnum a band close to my heart.
"There are Times it's hard to swallow, when the World comes down on you.
May it shine on you tomorrow, and your dreams they all come true."
TONY CLARKIN.

Night Out With Hazel

Been out for a drink tonight with Hazel not seen her for Bloomin' ages.
We managed to catch up and have a natter, sort the world out over a drink or 3.
Her divorce hasn't come through yet but it's iminent and although she isn't saying much about it I could see it's preying on her mind.
What makes someone hurt a person like that?
I will never know.
At least she has friends she can trust to help her through.
You know where I am if you need me Hazel!

As It's getting close to Xmas

The orchard was full of nice fruit in the trees.
The place was a little disturbed today with the sound of a combine harvester cutting wheat in the next field.

Clerks 2

Watched Clerks 2 last night.
I'm a big fan of Kevin Smith films and loved "Clerks" the original film.
Have to admit although I liked this film I gotta say it's not as good as any of his other stuff.
By far the best thing he has done so far is "Dogma".
Best part of the Clerks 2 is the slagging Randal gives to "Lord of the Rings Trilogy".
" Who wants to see a film about dwarfs walking, let alone 3 films about dwarfs walking"
Then a total slagging of the Gay undertones of the Hobbits.
If you like Kevin Smiths older stuff it's a let down to be honest but it does have it's moments.
Might watch it again to be sure.

ouch he he

Magnum update

not quite the Edinburgh Tattoo

sick mp3 player

My mp3 player is buggered :'-(
It stopped transfering mp3 tracks before i went off on holidays now it wont even charge WHHHAAAAAAAA.
Phoned Toshiba and they want to send it to hong kong to be repaired under warranty :-(
No music for me for a while I guess.

What fun I missed

Having been away all week last week I was very unfortunate to miss the London Wank 'a' thon.
Supported by channel 4 and involving lots of wankers I bet it went smoothly.
However Police did say that they would offer a hand if there was any trouble.
The question has to be HOW?
And what would cause the trouble ?
And if there was any trouble could it have been any more than a hand full.
They really should give themselves a shake.
I have to admit still doing my bit for the cause ;-)

another funny one

A fella goes for a job in the Quality Assurance department at a Condom factory. The foreman takes him round the plant and shows him all the machinery and offers him the job.
"What will the role entail exactly?" Asks the interviewee.

"Well", says the foreman,"You have to check 1 in a hundred",and proceeds to remove one of the rubbers from the Production line, stretches it, holds it up to the lights, Then places it over his penis and calls the secretary over.

She proceeds to hitch her skirt up, pull her knickers down and bends over.
The foreman gives her a good rogering, after he's finished he removes the Prophylactic, stretches it, holds it up to the light again to confirm no holes.
"Easy as that", he says.
"When do I start?" Asks the fella, unable to believe his luck.

"Monday, 8:00 sharp!"

Naturally, our hero hardly sleeps a wink all Sunday night, and is outside the factory waiting to get in at 6:30am

Anyway, the production line starts up and the fella faithfully counts as 100 ribbed black mambos, (lubricated with sensodol for extra comfort).

He picks up the 101st, stretches it and holds it up to the light to check for holes then pulls it over his old man and calls the secretary over.

Over she comes, grabs hold of his manhood, and proceeds to rigorously masturbate him.

Rather startled and confused, the fella just looks at the secretary Who says...?

"Sorry, company policy. You've got to work a week in hand"

funny joke

There are two statues in a park; one of a nude man and one of a nude woman.
They had been facing each other across a pathway for a hundred years, when one day an angel comes down from the sky and, with a single gesture, brings the two to life.
The angel tells them, "As a reward for being so patient through a hundred blazing summers and dismal winters, you have been given life for thirty minutes to do what you've wished to do the most."
He looks at her, she looks at him, and they go running off together behind the shrubbery.
The angel waits patiently as the bushes rustle and giggling ensues. After fifteen minutes, the two return, out of breath and laughing.
The angel tells them, "Um, you have fifteen minutes left."
The male statue asks the woman statue, "Would you like to do it again?"
"Oh, yes let's," she replies! "But let's change positions. This time, I'll hold the pigeon down, and you shit on its head.

save the Queen's Hall

I recieved this email from Martha at Passiton today..
"The Queen's Hall Management is due to meet a Scrutiny Panel from the City of Edinburgh Council this week concerning whether or not financial support from the Council will be renewed after the current funding runs out in 2.5 years time.

Please help us support this campaign. Pass IT On have already been asked to write about our experience of holding our fund-raising concert in the Queen's Hall in June, and our comments have been forwarded to be used as support when the Panel meets, but I'm sure that every name added to this Evening News campaign will help."
Having been to the Queens Hall many times for gigs and events I to support keeping it open although a little underused these days it is a great place.
Pass your support on the link now.

The Northern Ireland Trip

Tuesday

A smooth early morning sail across the Irish sea thanks to P&O Ferries got some nice shots over the side of the boat of both scotland and Northern Ireland.
Once we landed we decided to take a trip along the Antrim coast line a little to see the sights.
Nice day for a drive a little damp and cooler than it has been.
Stopped in at a little parking spot and managed to get a nice few photos which include some weird looking insect thing and a man catching his first catch of the day (it being about 4 and him being there from about 7ish he said)
Then it was off to my aunt Jean's house for a lovely chinese mmmmm.
Later that night had a we went down to where we were staying at Fiona's house.
Sat up till after 2 chatting to Fiona was a great chat made a few things clearer in my mind.
Wednesday
After getting up about 11 ish realising that Fiona was working at 8 (oops) and had went to work late we decided to go to the Ulster Folk and Transport museum.
It's changed massively since i last went there but a most amazing place and surpirsed to see how cheap it was to get in £7 for an adult and that was for both the Transport and the Folk museum.
Although it's not long enough to spend just 1 day there to see it all properly, we missed about half of the folk museum and rushed the Transport museum.
Thursday
Wedding day.
All went well I was Kilted up many thanks to my uncle David Mcgregor who just so happens to have a kilt which it made to measure for me strange lol Even down to the same shoe size.
The day was great, food was great, drink was flowing, the company was excellent and the guitarist sucked lol.
Yes I played the song "stairway to heaven" badly I hasten to add.
I think the nerves got the better of me.
Having played this since I was 16 you would think I would know it without all the bum notes.
It sounded better as I rehersed it. I knew I should have dsone the Dolly Parton Country version lol.
Friday
Friday was hangover day.
Went to visit my Grandfather who is loooking extremely well for 89.
He will be 90 in December.
Even through all his ill's he still looks happy and whistles constantly and sings all the time.
He has now been confirmed as having Altzimers and also Prostate cancer.
Saturday
We went to the Giants Causeway on Saturday and then along to Carrick-a-rede rope bridge.
Passed a cavelcade of classic cars on the way to Portrush for the classic car rally there.
It was funny to hear my mum scream as she crossed the rope bridge.

junk email

Why is it that when your away you seem to acumulate mostly junk emails.
300 to be precise.
Offering everything from fake rolex watches to pills of all descriptions and not forgetting the we should meet to fuck campaign.
Msn is getting really bad for not catching this stuffand no matter how many times you put it in the junk bin it still appears.
AAAaaarrrrrrrrrrgggghhhh.

back in the saddle

Well folks I'm back.
What a trip was really good to get across and see me family again.
It's been almost 2 years since I was back in Larne a few things have changed but other than that it's still the same.
Still it's good to be back in Scotland and at home.
I am shattered tought having got the 7:30 boat this morning which ment getting up at 5:30 to head down to the harbour.
Had a sleep when I got back home though.
Woke up in a pool of sweat too yuck.
It's really close again I see and whatsmore I forgot that when I left I had closed the window so there has been no cool air getting into the room at all.
Phew what a heat.
