Great gig!
Now a 4 piece having no singer I can't say I thought they really missed the fact he is'nt there anymore.
Still reports say that they sound terrible on their new album.
Will have to wait and see.

Similes!
As part of Stewart's Home work the other night he was doing Similes you know like "as old as ice".
Elaine asked me ok so what is "as kind as"
Now to be honest I had not got a clue but thinking about it can be fun.
As kind as.... a big Kind thing
as kind.... as fuck
as kind as..... kind can be
comment on you favourite Similes
I like cool as mince!
and as Big as a big big thing.
Homework Blues
They seem to be teaching the kids a really difficult way to do long division these days.
Elaine texted me the other day saying that she had taken about 2 hours just to do 2 sums.
I'm no mathmatical genius but when I looked at the way its was worked out I could see the thing working but bloody hell lets not make it difficult for them.
I seem to remember having porblems with this way as well when I was at school thank god Dad tought me the good old fashioned way to do it.
Fish the dish of the Day
Have to tell you about the wonderful food I had last time I was up here.
The International fish market was up in Aberdeen market place at the top of Union street.
MMMMMMM loads of nice things to taste.
We had Really nice Crayfish in a Tomato and Basil salad dressing which was fantastic.
The Northsea shrimp in garlic galad dressing was yummy.
The deepfried mixed fish with Homemade Tartar sauce was extremely nice.
Followed by Banana and Nutella crepes mmmmmmmmmmmmmm.
Fine food that day I could have spent all day there testing the dishes.
Elaine's treat for lunch today me thinks ;-)
My long weekend
Finally a long weekend off.
Its been a long time coming.
Never got a lie in today though had to walk Stewart to school and Elaine had to get up early for work.
Think the plan though is to chill the rest of the weekend and I know we are off to the cinema tonight to see Hoodwinked?
Tolquhoun Castle
Last week I was up in Aberdeen.
Elaine and I went to seek out a new castle for us to visit and ended up in Tolquhoun castle.
This was fantastic really beautiful place but then I do love the ruined castles best.
Pics on the way to the pics section
So whats the News
Well Tony Blair has quit as Pm gotta say he has outstayed his welcome a little but I lie Tony seems like a nice bloke.

Get well soon Hamster!
Doctor Who has been put in the Guinness book Of Records as the worlds Longest running Sci-fi programmespanning over 43 years and 723 episodes.
Can't wait till xmas for the special.
Osama Bin Ladin has supposedly died of typhiod in the mountains in Afganistan. That will teach the fucker to live in the mountains.
The final episodes of Lost season 2 were on channel 4.

Help- Save Slain's Castle
You may remember back a few months ago I posted 1 and 2 about visiting Slain's Castle in Aberdeenshire.
The inspirational castle for Bram Stoker's Dracula.
Well the Local council have decided grant redevelopment of this historic building for luxury appartments.
This would be a real shame I would hate to see it happen.
Help support a campaign to save this national treasure.
Put this link on all your blogs please, it would be a shame to see it go sign up and register we have till the 6th of november to register our concerns
Personally I feel it should be put into Trust with Historic Scotland and put on the map, I'm sure it could bring more cash in tourism to the local community over a 10 year period than a few appartments.

Football
Now I will admit I hate football but on Saturday I went to watch Stewart play (at his request ty ) I had a good time.
Got angry at the team of hackers in the second game GRRRRRR.
But I did resist the urge to swear at the little gits.
As for Aberdeen playing in the spl well Stewart your prediction was wrong and Mum was right.
Wishing I had put that bet on now lol.

Little Break
Needed a little break from it all have come up to visit Elaine and Stewart in Aberdeen for a few days.
It's been good to get away too.
Felt so relaxed today.
Althought a little knotted up now.
Visited St Machar cathedral today got some nice shots and after Stewarts football 2morrow we are off to find a castle or 2 for a lazy afternoon.
Tough Weeks
It's been a tough time this last few weeks not been posting blogs had a lot on me mind.
On Tuesday night had to take Mum to the Hospital as she was crippled in pain.
After blood tests and all sorts she was kept in over night and dad and i got home about a quarter to 2 in the morning.
Turns out she is passing kidney stones.
OUCH!
When I went to visit was only allowed to stay for an hour before being asked nicely to leave.
So as I was in Dunfermline anyway I thought it would be nice to visit Dunfermline Abbey to get some pics.
Could have done without the rain but it gave a few closeups of flowers a little life will put some on next week when I get a chance.
On Friday last week was told my Grandfather has cancer and the family are a little concerned that he won't hold out long.
This news caused me to have one of my black days as the news hit me on Sunday morning.
I felt so helpless.
It's a bad time of year too as my Granny died of cancer on the 16th of september 2 years ago.
I think the new of my granfather is also reminding Dad of this.

Bike Ride
Got up early and took the bike out for a peddle this morning.
Not Sure why I was up early on my day off but it always happens.
Well unless I'm at Elaine's.
Anyway went reasonably well till I got knocked off the bike by some dickhead in a Ford Focus.
Not hurt just my pride a little bruised and was a little angery.
How he didn't see me is beyond me.
Had a bright aqua top on and thankfully he only brushed past me.
I shat me self and fell off.
Bastard !
Anyway 5.96 miles today 22.5 mph max speed and a moving average 12.9mph.
Althought you need to subtract the speed of the fall lol.

Baby Mcmaster
George and Susan brought the baby in to show us yesterday at work.
Still undecided as to what to call him the instinct for them is Cameron but thats still in the air.
I still say Ned is a great name "Ned Mcmaster" it's got a ring to it you gotta agree.
Any way he is sooo bloody cute and I know it's normally women who get broody but I gotta say "want one!"
The poor little fella has some problem with his feet which he has to have them put into casts every week.
George said he screamed the for an hour or more in the hospital yesterday poor soul.
Ian Huntley
Been reading this http://news.uk.msn.com/Article.aspx?cp-documentid=870366 about Ian Huntley this morning.
I have to be my normal outspoken self and say I wish him every success.
It's sickening to think that evil bastard is still wasting taxpayers money.
I would have to say that in many cases like this I think the death penalty should be brought into Britain.
I know taking a life in place of a life is not right but how do Jessica and Holly's parents feel every time they see his face in the paper, reading that he is trying to end his own life, sturring up the past torment for them.
I am not talking death row like in America either I'm talking your found guilty and put to death with in days.
Our prison system as I have read is overcrowded Huntley has no chance of getting out so why waste money feeding, clothing, supplying medicines, hospital services.
We housed Moria Hindley for more than half her life.
Dr Shipman did us a favour and ended it quickly.

Had a good run for the first day back.
5.55 miles max speed 24.5 mph moving average 12.1 mph.
Hope to be getting backout regular again.
Dream Score
Who would have believed it Scotland winning 6-0
Hope they can do that again.
Not so lucky for Northern Ireland :-(
Viva la BOB
Well Rab has off up and went to Spain for a holiday with a few mates never even left the key to his flat so I could party lol not to worry.
Folks are away from Saturday so i'm all by me self for 8 days means i gotta cook and clean and iron for myself for a week :-(
Restful day off
Finally had a day off work on Friday so I took the chance to disappear off to Aberdeen to visit Elaine.
Headed up on Thursday night to be met by a nice hot bath ready and waiting for me, followed by a good few HOT, HOT, HOT Fajhitas and A few cold beers to keep me cool.
After a good nights sleep and most of the next day too ( slept till Elaine got in at 12:15 after work) we went out to The Lemon Tree for Shell Friday Live.
We had a lovely 3 course meal very filling too , while listening to a very talented folk guitarist called John Alexander.
Can't remember what Elaine had to be honest but I had the soup of the day which was broccoli and stilton then Lamb Chump with potatoes and mixed veg followed by Ice cream Sundae.
After we went for a walk on the beach and dipped our toes in the FFFFFFrrrreeeeeezzzzing North Sea.
We then decided it ould be fun to take Stewart when we collected him from school and what fun he had as he went straight into the drink football and all.
Then back home for Domino's pizza mmmmmmmmmmmmmm.
Stewart disappeared off to the football with his uncle and then it was veg out in front of the telly guess I ate too much that day lol.
Thanks for a Great time Elaine and Stewart.
Hope you enjoyed the football mannie.
