Ace just found out the New album from "Live" comes out 10th of April pulled forward from May
The new album is titled "Songs From Black Mountain"
Live have to be my second favourite band after "Magnum" so I can't wait for this to come out and they are playing in Glasgow Abc. in June that reminds me must go get me tickets booked.

New Album

Bugger "The Goo Goo Dolls" album has been put back to the 25th of april for some reason.
Still the new website looks good and you can listen to at least 3 of the tracks off the album there including the new single.

Logan's Run?

Ok just watched "The Island" with Ewan Macgregor .
Pretty much a remake of "Logan's Run" staring Michael York.
The Island is a superb movies its fast paced loadsa action and some cool gear in it too including something for the bikers out there, the totally cool air bikes :-)
For Sci-fi buffs like me well its got Nelix from Voyager in it less the makeup.
It has Steve Buscemi for all the laughs.

5 out of 5 from me.

Payday Purchases.

Didn't get any of the stuff on my payday purchase list today as I spent so long chatting to Dad.
So it's up early and off to the shops before work 2morrow.

Biking

Didn't make it out today although that was the plan.
It been shitty weather all day.
Pissing down blowing a gale.
Lets face it I'm a fair weather cyclist.
Just stayed in and had a good long chat wih Dad put the world to rights that man would.

Only 10 days to go till I can taste the fruits of my labour. mmmmmmmm
Will also do a second fermentation process and bottle some for a different flavour.
I wonder how easy it would be to make it into A fruit flavoured beer like raspberry ?

At Least I Have My Health

As hard as things are just now there is always someone worse off.
Just found out this morning that a friend of the family and girl I went to Sunday schools with has been diagnosed with Pancreatic cancer.
My thoughts go out to you and your family at this time Lynn as you go in for treatment and I hope the all clear is on its way asap.

April Showers

It seemed like a nice day out so I dug out the Gps from the cupboard, popped on the mp3 player and off out on the bike.
Got lucky too cause I managed to miss the hail stones, from the little black cloud you can see in the picture above. Thankfully that was one that wasn't following me.
The Gps says I did 7.15 miles, Max speed was 15.1 mph, With an average of 9.5 mph.
Journey took me 45.19 mins. Only stopped to take the pics, and answer a text or 2.
Phew lucky as i am typing the hail is battering down. The sky ain't like the pic believe me.
Sound Track for the ride today came from AC/DC, David Coverdale, A perfect circle, Jimmy Page, The Cult, GZR, Terrorvision and Tyketto.
I have to say although a great song "Wings" By Tyketto ain't that good if yer my frame of mind.
Still I managed to sing me heart out while peddling along singing "Highway To Hell" by AC/DC.

A Womble's Not For Life (Just A Few Months)

After a long chat and a few harsh things said in both directions I think things could be looking up .
A few truths were passed around and I think the air is a little clearer.
Clearer than the air a room in Edinburgh anyway ;-)
Now, Whats done is done and you cant undo the past.
Moving on is always hard, you will never move on at the same rate as someone else.
Life throws many things at you you just gotta say fuck you and keep on duckin'.
Even tough as it gets there is always someone worse off than you I learned that at least today.
My real pain was weeks ago. The head hurt over the last few days is just delayed reaction to something that I couldnt see for the blinkers over my eyes.
I just hope i haven't made a fool of myself and lost a friend in the process.

Ginger Snaps

Last nights movie was "Ginger Snaps".
Made in 2000 it a cool werewolf movie.
Good film some good gory bit but not too gruesome.
Not overly scary and now-where as good as "America werewolf In London" but a good film none the less.
3 out of 5 for this one.
Better than a night with the usual dogs.
Will have to see if the 2 others in the trilogy live up to the first though.

No Smoking Scotland

Hey Hey all.
Well its D-day,Scottish Smokers Are Banned from lighting up in public places.
From 6 am. This morning smoking has been banned in all public places including pubs, clubs and restaurants.
As an Ex- smoker and a frequent pub goer I can honestly say I think it will do the people in Scotland good. To many times I have been out since quitting and woke up next morning thinking I had smoked about 20 fags and my clothes stunk like a dirty ash tray.
I do sympathize with those people who are struggling to give up, I agree it isn't that easy.

New album from The Goo Goo Dolls out today.
features the new single "Stay With You"
And the Goo Goo Dolls re-recorded classic "Give A Little Bit"

This band are fantastic sounding and look good live on their DVD "Live From Buffalo"
definitely worth picking up. Hope they tour the UK this time.

As for the album its the first thing I buy on Thursday when I get paid :-)
Will let you know how it sounds soon.

Well no not me but Mum & Dad did they traded the Xsara in for a little Citroen C3
Picked it up today.
Its Silver looks good and as my car is off the road at the moment I will be driving it from Monday :-)

You gotta love that new car smell though.
I hear you ask why is my little Saxo off the road, well it was in a little bump a few weeks ago with my cousin Kyle.
Don't worry no-one was hurt just Kyle's pride bruised.
The car needs a new front wing and a new sill and passenger door at the moment still hasn't even been looked at yet by the insurance, that's 3 weeks today it happened.

Ok so you may be asking "how does it work Dave!"
Well its simple you buy a kit by the "Miracle Beer Co."
The Kit contains a reusable holder, reusable cap and pump,
Disposable tap and beer pipe, yeast sachet, liner and seal and 1 bottle of miracle mix
(which is in a 2 pint milk container and looks like powdered milk too).
You put it all together put the mix in the liner add the water and yeastthen wait ....
20 days later you have beer.
Or if it is really powdered milk in there after 20 days it'll probably be cottage cheese LOL.

If you fancy this yourself it can be bought cheaper at Hawkin's Bazaar.
However they only do the 10 pint version.

Movies

2 movies watched tonight.
"Ray" a fantastic film about Ray Charles excellent film and superb soundtrack.

5 out of 5 top points

The other was "Woodsman"
Good thought provoking film can't say that I approve of subject of this film, however I do think it was very well acted by Kevin Bacon.

I'm gonna give this an unsure 3 out of 5.
Worth watching but suspect subject.

Just been watching a film called Blackball staring Johnny Vegas Paul Kaye and Vince Vaughan.
Very funny film about Bowls.
Also has a cameo roll from Mark Little (neighbours Joe Mangle).

4out of 5 for this one.

Beneath The Planet of the Apes

Just Watched "Beneath The Planet Of The Apes"
What can I say not exactly the best sci-fi movie ever to grace the screens.
Very cheesy starts off ok and just goes bad very quickly, from about the point the girl that plays Nova who Carleton Heston rode off with at the end of "Planet of The Apes" changes 10 mins into the film.

2 out of 5 from me.
And even that is being generous

Good news is that Tax and National Insurance is down but the fuel duty is up (think I see another blockade on the cards).

Ok if the home brew works out and tastes ok I will be better off by £1.20 per year a staggering amount.

My Stepmother Is An Alien

Just watched My Stepmother is an Alien a film I downloaded from Sky by Broadband.
Fun film staring Dan Aykroyd,Kim Basinger,and very young versions of
Alyson Hannigan and Seth Green. Funny to see for all those Buffy Fans Out there.

The Film itself is ok a 3 out of 5 star rating from me.

Ah 2 days off what bliss.
Bloody woke at 8:45 this morning not a good start but hey its a nice day outside.
